Join Sewcial Wednesdays for a weekly dose of sewing at the Café in Genthod! Spend Wednesday mornings sewing with fellow enthusiasts. Whether you're working on projects big or small, seeking inspiration on new ideas, or just want a relaxing morning, we've got you covered. Bring your sewing machine and enjoy a cup of coffee in a friendly atmosphere. See you there!

Sewcial Wednesdays are for those who have basic sewing skills, to those who have more experience. 

 

Sewcial Wednesday will be hosted by Hanne Thye Frosch and with Iris Maag behind the counter of the café. Both of us share a passion for sewing and have found that we sew better in the company of others!  Our objective is to keep the craft of sewing alive by inspiring people to sew their own clothes and to pass on the joy of sewing.

What you need to bring

• Sewing machine

• Fabric

Included in the price

• A cake and two cups of coffee or tea. 

• Inspiration on what to sew and choice of fabric

• A selection of patterns is available

• Sewing equipment – pattern paper, scissors, pins, seam ripper, sewing thread etc. are available

• 3 hours of sewing with assistance when needed

• Iron and ironing board

• Relaxed and friendly environmen

• A list of fabric stores in the area

 

Please indicate if you want to borrow a sewing machine when signing up.

Dates

Sewcial Wednesdays will be held on every Wednesdays except vacations and a few other occasions.

​

Sewcial Wednesdays will be held on the following Wednesdays until Easter: 15/1, 22/1, 29/1, 5/2, 12/2, 19/2, 19/2, 26/2, 2/3, 9/3 and 16/3.

​

Sewcial Wednesdays has a maximum capacity of six participants for each session.

CHF 175 for 5 sessions – to be used on Wednesdays of your choice. Guaranteed spot every Wednesday.

 

Pay as you go

CHF 50 per session. With pay as you go alternative, you can reserve in advance, depending on availability that Wednesday.
